A few days back, before clashing political egos in the US brought the federal government to its knees, the FCC still had its website up and running, and we
got to see the publication of documents for the Nokia RX-114 tablet. While the FCC isn’t letting any more info out for the time being, a discovery in a benchmark database may reveal an additional Nokia tablet, and one that’s causing us to make some comparisons to the RX-114.
A Nokia P6095 appears over at GFXBench, apparently running Windows. The presence of an Adreno 330 spells “Snapdragon 800,” though we’re given a bit of pause by a couple CPU and GPU ID fields being populated with the text “MOOCOW;” a little lighthearted engineer humor, or evidence that these results might be fake, we can’t say.
So what’s this got to do with the RX-114? Model P6095 reports an unusual 1371 x 771 resolution, ever-so-slightly-off from 1366 x 768, yet the very same resolution we saw for RX-114 in its own GFXBench entry. To that end, could this just be some regional variant of the RX-114, though essentially the same device? That’s a solid possibility, and we may be waiting until Nokia’s October 22 event before we learn for sure.
