--> New Family Safety Features Coming To Windows Phone Devices(?) !

Windows has a long tradition of supporting family safety features in all the recent versions. The Family Safety feature in Windows 8.1 has been improved as well. There is a new user type called ‘Child’ that must be created in order to enable parental controls for your child.

Instead making Family Safety as an app for Windows devices, Microsoft has made it into a web based service. You can add your kids account and start controlling and monitoring their PCs.

You can create general rules based on rating systems like ESRB, or you can allow/block an app/game individually. There’s a section called Activity Reporting from which you can see reports on your kids browsing behavior, etc,.
If you notice an inappropriate website on your kid’s browsing list, you can block it right away from the web service.

The most interesting thing is that the new Family Safety website also has a Windows Phone section. There is an option to add and monitor a Windows Phone device.
Similar to how you can control Windows Store downloads of your kid, I guess Microsoft may be adding the feature to control Windows Phone Store downloads in the future Windows Phone OS versions.
 What do you think?
